Ike is passing well to the south of us. Well, the kids are disappointed. I am a bit relieved. But we dodged another one! Hurricane Ike will affect our weather a little, but not really affect our lives! Yeah!
I am trying to keep straight in my head what all of the kids are supposed to be working on. I may have to skip chores in order to get it all done. Emily needs to practice piano, volleyball skills, read scriptures for Acheivement Days, and read AR books for school. Danya needs to practice piano, work on sewing a skirt (personal project), read scriptures, and read AR books. Caleb, well, let's just say he is so busy comparing his assignments with Danya and Emily there isn't much time to do anything else.
Carson is hard at work dumping out powdered sugar and potato pearls, plugging things in, and dancing to the slightest beat or tune!
We had the missionaries over last night and Caleb has take to calling one of them Elder Cockroach. Caleb REALLY loves to put on a show for the missionaries with Danya's help of course, it is quite distracting actually. But the kid is funny if you are into that kind of stuff. Anyhow, I talked to him about making up nicknames for people, because on the way to school he was telling me about a couple of nicknames he has for some of the kids at school. Harmless, but you never know who is going to get their feelings hurt.
Caleb now knows when to get off the bus, but is now sound asleep by the time he gets home and I have to get on and help him up and out of the bus. His favorite part of school is TV (apparently they watch it everyday), or the bus. Go figure.
