Halloween-Is it over yet?

Halloween was a lot of fun this year but it seemed as if we had it twice. The weather was cool, the kids were in long sleeves and pants the week before, so it really felt like fall and Halloween time.

The friday before Halloween we loaded up the neighborhood and took several kids to the ward Trunk or Treat. This is always a lot of fun. We probably doubled the number of kids there since we brought 9 (including ours). But they all had a great time, and got hot and sweaty from running around having a grand time. So the kids had candy all week and finished it up just in time for the real deal.

None of the kids wore costumes to school, so that was different this year. But Caleb wore his for a short time at school and trick or treated around the school, but there was no parade for parents or anything. I didn't mind.

Halloween night they trick or treated their hearts out with our neighborhood group. There wasn't A LOT of kids out, but they all came in groups, so maybe it just didn't seem like as many. Afterward Danya went to the city festival with one neighbor, and Emily went again with another neighbor that wasn't in the first group. Everyone felt like they had had a successful Halloween by the time they went to bed that night!

What inventive costumes for the girls. Did they come up with those on their own? What a fun time.

What cute pictures! I especially loved Emily's backpacker costume. Hmmm... I wonder why?? :)
